Celebrating Sport

Cambridge has a long history of Olympian achievement, with over 120 medallists to its credit and an impressive list of students and alumni working towards the London 2012 Games. Share the excitement with University sporting stars past and present at the glittering celebration of Cambridge sport in London and a series of events celebrating Cambridge sport.

Organising the Olympics

Dine with alumni working for the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) at Emmanuel College. Speakers include Paralympian Chris Holmes (King's 1991), and Chief Medical Officer Richard Budgett (Selwyn 1977).

City of Cambridge Rowing Club Spring Regatta
Sunday 6 May 2012

Each Spring the oldest town rowing club in the City of Cambridge organises a regatta which sees College crews and local clubs racing side by side. This year a category has been created specifically for alumni crews to enable old rivalries to be renewed. Professor Jay Winter, Humanitas Visiting Professor in War Studies, will be giving a series of three public lectures on Imagining War in the 20th Century and After.  The lectures explore mediating languages and symbolic forms which writers, artists, and filmmakers have used to represent war since 1900.  Further details.
