Election of New Chancellor

The current Chancellor of the University, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, steps down from this post on 30 June after 34 years of service. The Nomination Board has now published its recommendation for the election of the next Chancellor by the University Senate. Further information can be found online.

Cambridge Footlights

Cambridge Footlights
14 - 25 June
'The most renowned sketch troupe of them all' (The Independent) bring you 'Pretty Little Panic', their 2011 Tour. Make sure you grab one of these 'must-have' tickets (The Times) for the Footlights' hour-long Cambridge previews, which will showcase the club's finest comedians before they embark on a monumental international
tour.

A mobile phone app developed by Cambridge researchers to track how people behave during an epidemic could be used to limit disease spread.

We like to think the human brain is special, something different from other brains and information processing systems, but a Cambridge professor set out to test that assumption – by conducting a live experiment using Twitter.

Events
There are still tickets available for the Cambridge Society of London's Varsity Cricket Match Special at Lord's on 26 June and on 16 July, Cambridge10 is holding a Summer Garden Party and Bop in London.

In June, the Oxford and Cambridge Society of The Netherlands is organising a weekend visit to Maastricht and in August, the Cambridge Society of New South Wales is holding its Annual Winterfeast.
